Story board Corrections
Hey group,
Happy Easter, I made some corrections on our story board if you want to check out the google doc, we need to resubmit it. However, I am still confused on what Professor Peterson means by saying we need to include our web eval URL's. Where do they go? Thanks.

Weather Story Board
Hey group,
I am pretty confused on this whole story board. I do not know the exact expectations based off of the rubric. However, I believe we need to think of a main project. I was thinking maybe have the students pick one state in the United States and create a week long weather report explaining how they could measure or learn about the weather they found for each day. What are your guys thoughts?

New Lesson Idea
Hey group,
I actually decided to change my idea for my lesson plan two.
I am going to have my students track the weather for a week straight using one of the tools we learned about, and then creating a summary report they will present and talk about the increases and decreases in the weather for that week, changes, etc.

PodCast
Hey group,
Hope everyone is having a good week. So we have two weeks to work on our collaborative pod casts. What role would everyone like to take? One person will be responsible for putting it together and adding music. The purpose is for PBL and to explain to our parents what we are doing. What are everyone's thoughts?

Chapter 5
Hey group,
Hope everyone had a great week. I really enjoyed this weeks chapter; it made me think outside of the box a bit and consider all the different types of resources I could use in my classroom. Technology is extremely useful when implemented effectively. I also learned alot after writing my paper about Fair Use.

Hey Group! Hope everyone's week is off to a good start. For our lesson plan this week it looks like we each need to write a lesson plan about a different part of the concept map. I was thinking I would write my lessons on types of weather to report. If anyone else wanted to cover this area let me know and i can write a lesson for a different area of the plan.

Google Map
This map will be used by students as a point of
reference. This will help students have
a better understanding of where there pen-pals are located. Students will also be able to compare and
contrast the location of the two areas as well as the geographic features that
affect the weather. Students will be
able to compare these two locations in relationship to the equator, major bodies
of water and mountain ranges. Students may use this map for cross-curricular
learning. Students could write about the
similarities and differences of the two locations (Writing), read about Mexico’s
weather (Reading), find the difference in temperature and precipitation (Math),
learn about the culture and history of Mexico (Social Studies), and study
vegetation and types of animals native to the area (Science).

Virtual Pen Pals, Google Maps
Hey group,
This weeks assignment is a bit different. Rachel created our google document for our virtual penpals. The questions provided on the document and in our rubric will help us aid in what we want to talk about. I was thinking something along the lines of doing our weekly weather report for a third grade classroom and comparing it to the weather region of Mexico. This would help our students understand that during winter we are receiving snow days and flurries while they experience sunlight and high heat temperatures. Just an idea. We can discuss more when we meet tomorrow. See you guys then!

Website Evaluations
Hey group,
So this week we need to start evaluating different websites we find online using the given rubric on Elearning. We each have to find three different ones so lets make sure we post which websites we are going to be using so that we do not have any repeats. I want to browse for some websites that go more in depth about the different types of weather and why weather monitoring and elements of weather are so important to learn about. We have to submit all three of our website evaluations to one person in the group and they have to add all of our documents as one and submit it for our group. I am interested to find out what websites you think will be beneficial. Talk to you guys soon.

Welcome!
Hi group!
I'm new to this whole blog idea but it's pretty neat. I was wondering if you have any ideas for our group project?
